Update: I know I mentioned a follow-up to the loses to Roddick, but frankly, all it would say it pretty much the same as the other three posts after Roger’s losses - so there won’t be one.
Quarterfinals
Roger falls to Andy Roddick in three sets, 6-7(4), 6-4, 3-6. I’m at a loss of words right now - there will be a follow-up tomorrow after my brain absorbs this information.
Round 4
A 7-6(5), 6-2 victory over Jose Acasuso puts Roger into the quarterfinals. “It was key for me to serve well, especially in the beginning, and it was a good serving day today,” said Roger who was very happy with his performance today. Roger is one step closer to winning his first title of the year.
Round 3
Roger cruised through his 3rd round match 6-4, 3-0 (ret.). It only took 47 minutes.
Round 2
For the second straight tournament, Roger gets off to a great start against a quality opponent in Gael Monfils winning 6-3, 6-4. Now, lets see this dominating performance can care on for the rest of the tournament because another loss, like the one to Marty Fish, would be devastating going into the class court season.
Round 1
Bye, naturally
