Roger was back to his usual form against Andy Roddick winning the last round-robin match 6-4, 6-2. Andy always seems to hit a wall when he faces Roger. I don’t know what it is about that match-up that Roger loves so much., but Roger seems to dominate. Watching this match, I was reminded of the match the Roger and Andy played in Australia. Roger was in complete control the entire match. This match determined who would finish first in the red group.
By winning, Roger finished first and will face Rafael Nadal in the semis. This is a repeat match of last year’s semis in which Roger won in straight sets. If Roger advances to the finals, he could face Andy once again if Andy beats David Ferrer. This coming weekend will be very exciting.
