Roger is back on track with his win over Nikolay Davydenko 6-4, 6-3. Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the match because was played at 4:00 this morning, but highlights can be seen on tennis.com. Although Roger had 39 unforced errors to just 23 winners he was still able to prevail in straight sets.
Now, Roger will face Andy Roddick who has won both of his round-robin matches. Roger must win in order to reach the semi-finals. Actually, I’m not sure how it will work if Roger wins and so does Gonzalez because then they will both have a 2-1 record, but Gonzalez beat Roger in their match; so would Fernando move on? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I am really worried for Federer. Roddick is playing really well. Now that even Gonzalez got a chance against Federer, Roddick’s confidence must have gone sky high and Federer would be doubting him self—-Don’t you think?

Yes, Roddick is playing very well. I don’t think that Roger ever doubts himself. He’s a winner, and winners don’t doubt, they believe. Remember, Roger is still the favorite. So, I believe it’s Roger’s to win or lose.
